The Dedicated Life Institute (DLI) exists to develop and celebrate each person’s sacred calling and capacity for wisdom, love, and creative action. DLI supports spiritual exploration and growth and is dedicated to making the principles and practice of Buddhism and the essence teachings of many traditions accessible. The Institute also fosters the creative adaptation and expansion of ancient teachings to contemporary discoveries and understandings of the human design, of the evolutionary dynamics of life, and of the nature of human relationships.

Programs
The Institute offers courses, meditation groups and retreats for personal enrichment and spiritual growth. DLI also provides pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, and mentoring for spiritual leadership.

*** The Arete Initiative, a new program, will begin in Fall 2013. Arete (from Ancient Greek), in its basic sense, means excellence of any kind. Sometimes translated as "virtue", the word actually means something closer to "maturing into your full potential", "being the best you can be", or "reaching your highest human potential". It also refers to the aggregate of qualities that make up good character. This program facilitates and trains participants to not only grow personally but to make their unique as well as common contributions to the evolution of their families, communities, humankind, and the planet.

Institute programs enable participants to:

clarify, grow and exercise a spiritual path and life purpose.
integrate spiritual practice and work in the world.
experience authentic wisdom and presence.
develop a practice that will open and enhance the experience of spiritual teachings.
